A day ago my monitor stopped receiving signal from the PC with the "HDMI No signal" message appearing. I went through all the different troubleshooting methods I could find and still can't get a signal out of it. The graphics card lights up and runs like it would normally, in both PCI-E slots, it just refuses to give a signal. Does anyone have suggestions for solving this or finding out what is wrong? I am able to boot using integrated graphics with the HDMI going to my motherboard but I don't know what can be done about the card from that state. I installed new drivers already but obviously this did not help. If any more info is needed please ask

Specs:
Intel Core i5 6500
GTX 970
Corsair CX500
2x 8GB DDR4 Corsair RAM
GA-H170M-D3H Gigabyte Motherboard
1TB Toshiba HDD
250GB Samsung EVO SSD

Testing the GPU in another system is about the only way to be sure. Completely dismantling it and replacing the thermal compound could potentially help, but not likely.

GTX970 isn't exactly expensive to replace though.

If you want a new card, something like the AMD RX6600 at $190 is closer in performance to a GTX1080.

GTX1070, GTX1070Ti, and GTX1080 can be had for around $100-150 used.

GTX980 aren't too bad either and are around $75. GTX1650 GDDR6 or Super is about equivalent to that. You can get those new for about $160 (The Super are pretty rare now, you could check the used market)

You could also look at the GTX1060 6GB on the used market, slightly slower than a GTX980, but faster than GTX970.

Thanks for the insight and the suggestions. Ill just accept that it's gone and probably aim for a whole new build in the near future.
