Help get my HP Lj1000 work on my Win 7

I am looking for drivers for HP Laserjet 1000 series for Windows 7 Home Premium. I need to get some documents off this my laptop PC with this version of windows but unfortunately, nothing seems to work. Please help. Anthony.

64 or 32 bit windows 7?

32 bit - people have reported sucess with the lartest XP drivers

64 bit - no way of getting it to work. At all. Sorry
