Just replaced our 5050ub that we lost in a storm with a new 5050ub. Everything is connected the way it always has been. I can't seem to remember how to get a signal to it to watch tv and blurays etc. Am I missing something basic? HDMI is plugged in and I was able to use the keystone and zoom and all that to get it to mostly fit the screen, but I get no signal on both HDMI's.

Thanks.

You might want to clarify if it was a lightning strike. If so, then it's likely that more things got knocked out beyond your projector.

You might want to pass on a picture of what your back end for the projector looks like after being hooked up. Speaking of hooking up, I noticed you have some info mentioned in your sig space specs. You're advised to include your specs in the thread's body since sig space specs can and will change over time. If and when that happens, this thread and it's relevant suggestions are moot to the end user in the same boat as you're in now.

That being said, please mention your display output/source that's tethered to the projector. On a side note, you should have it hooked up to HDMI 1.

It was lightning yes.

Are you suggesting I enter all of the home theater devices in my sig too?

I've had it in HDMI one and two. I can make sure it is currently in one.

What might I look at next in case something else was also impacted by the strike? (Lots of HT devices. Avr, fire cube, Roku, Blu-ray player, etc.)

Try a different HDMI cable. What about a different source?
Update. I think there might be some damage to the avr as well, but I accidentally got it working well enough to be functional.

I was actually just plugging cables back in after finding the regular HDMI didn't work either. I ended up plugging the aoc HDMI into an output I haven't used before. It says monitor two on it and some 4k 2.2 something or other on it, and the picture came up.

My avr remote doesn't control all of the devices plugged into it anymore (my favorite surprise when I first got it was that turning it on or off would also control my projector etc., so that I didn't really use any remotes anymore other than turning on the avr and then the fire cube remote.) and my fire cube remote doesn't control volume anymore. I'm sure I'll find other quirks.

Does that all sound like damaged avr?
