Hi, I recently did a new build and I noticed that Windows is reading that I have 16gb of memory installed, but only 8gb are available to use. When I checked my BIOS it shows its that its setup for single channel. How would I go about changing it to dual-channel? I do have the memory installed in the right spots according to Asrock A2 and B2. I also double-checked to make sure I don't have a faulty stick of RAM. Here s the current build:
  • CPU - ADM Ryzen 5 2600
  • MOBO - Asrock B450m Steel Legend
  • RAM - G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4-3000
  • GPU - PowerCooler Radeon RX 5700 8gb

Dual channel or not wouldn't effect the memory showing up in Windows if it is installed properly.

A2 and B2 are the proper slots to use. Have you tried these memory sticks independently and both work?

About the only thing that might be worth a shot would be to re-seat the CPU, might have a loose or damaged pin?
