I have Photoshop CS5 and keep getting notifications about my graphics card limitations while using the program. My Dell laptop has a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family GPU and my laptop has 4GB of RAM. It says that all of my drivers are up to date. Is there any reason for this? Adobe's site said that it might limit certain tools, so I would like to correct it ASAP as I am a graphic artist. THANK YOU, in advance, if you can help me :)

Solution
You won't find a solution to this. Your laptop has integrated graphics, which takes video memory (VRAM) from your system's RAM. In Photoshop requirements it is said that you need at least 2GB of RAM and it is recommended to have 2GB of VRAM to run the program. So the RAM and VRAM for Photoshop is taken from the same source - your 4GB of system's RAM. Don't forget that your Operating System also uses that memory (at least 1-1,5GB. For example my windows 10 machine uses 2,2GB of RAM when idle)? maybe you are also browsing the web? (it also uses your RAM like any other opened program). All this means that there is not much RAM + VRAM left for Photopshop. Your computer lacks overall power to run Photoshop fluently.

Take a note that...

Take a note that your iGPU is also an old one, which means it is very slow/weak when compared to any other dedicated GPU.
