I am having one serious problem with the new system I built just this week. These are the specs:ABIT VP6 mb, 384 megs MUSHKIN rev3 ram, 2 PIII 933's w/256k cache, oxygen GVX-1 video card, 2- quantum fireball 20 gig HD's set to RAID-0

The problem is that I can run windows 2000 fine until I shut the comp off and then I get an error when I try to boot saying that the file C:/winnt/..../..../SYSTEMced is corrupt or missing and that it can't run!!! I have reformatted numerous times and tried installing and not installing certain things and I come up with the same results. If anybody has come across this or might know a remedy, I would greatly appreciate hearing it! Thanx

I hate VIA. Seriously, I can't remember what I had to do to stop that from happening on my last AMD system. But rest assured that someone will answer it for you if this post stays on the first page!

Suicide is painless...........

Hmmm... never seen that before, have you tried doing a full system recovery (or whatever they call it) from the Win2000 boot cd? Service Pack 1 might help as well.

Good luck,
