Help installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005

When I try to install Microsoft Visual Basic C++ Redistributable 2005 64 Bit version I get this error:-

"Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64"'.
Please refer to Help and Support for more information."


If I try to install the 32 Bit version of the same software I get:-

"Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'.
Please refer to Help and Support for more information."

Please help.


Edit: I have Windows 7 Ultimate X64

PC Specs:-

Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93 GHz
2 GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce 9400 GT
Simmtronics motherboard (Don't know model)
2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

This consideration is the version of the combined issues. First, install the software before you uninstall, reinstall, and if not, then, is that this software is not compatible with this byte system

I'm sorry, but what I understood was:-

First install, then uninstall then re-install.

Well I can't install as it gives the errors.
What should I uninstall?
Re-installing just gives back the same error.

I'm not sure what you mean by "byte system", but is there any way to change my "byte system" to one which is compatible?
