I just got my GTX 1060 today but I'm having an issue connecting it to my PSU. I know that my PSU is a 500w so I figured I would be set but I came to find out its only a 4pin. Can I simply get a 4pin to 6pin adapter wire? Or am I going to need to purchase a new PSU? I took a couple photos, but I'm on mobile and unsure how to attach. Please help.

This power supply gives fake voltage , its brother the 450 watts was tested

you can read here

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/apevia-turbolink-atx-tl450w-bk-power-supply-review/9/

The Apevia Turbolink ATX-TL450W-BK is sold as a 450 W unit, but it can only deliver 240 W. Having a fake wattage is the smallest of its problems: it is a piece of junk that can damage your computer, since it provides noise/ripple levels above the maximum allowed, as it doesn’t have the required filtering coils in its secondary. Efficiency was between 65% and 74%, which will make your computer to spend more electricity than necessary (higher electricity bill). And the cable configuration is a joke, with only one SATA power connector and no video card power connector (if it had, users would fry the power supply as soon as they run a game).
This is an excellent review to understand that trying to save by buying a USD 20 power supply makes no sense.

Get any Good Quality 420-550 watts power supply . tell me how much you can pay and where do you live so I can help.

I figured it was junk. It came as part of a bundled pc that I got a while back. I mean, I just spent like 270$ on my new GPU so I want to make sure the upgrade I get for my PSU is quality. Last thing I want is to ruin it bc of a bad PSu. I have no clue what a good price range would be? 50-100? I would like to spend as little as possible, but I understand how important a quality PSU is, so if I need to spend closer to 100, I'm fine with that. I live in Ohio.

Yeah that PSU is garbage. Price doesn't dictate quality. I would buy ANY Seasonic as every single one is golden and holds the standard for what a good PSU should be. Next would be EVGA or Corsair. Past that it is just a guessing game.

Tell me please your complete system specs.
