Question Help me build a Budget PC for BF6

Hey all,

I want to build a PC for the upcoming BF6 but alongside that, I will probably step out of console gaming and use it for other games too.

I'm in Australia, I'd like to build a PC that can run high settings at 60 frames or above. I have some questions.

Where's the best place in Australia to order all the needed parts and have them sent to me?

According to the specs list, for my desired outcome I require an RX 6700 XT/RTX 3060ti or above, an i7-10700 or Ryzen 3700k and 16GB of Dual Channel Ram at 3200mhz.
I haven't built a PC since 2011 (for BF3 lol) and I'm not up with the times. So, I was hoping someone could help me list the cheapest variants of CPU/GPU and Ram that meets these requirements.

I'm also unsure what wattage of Power Supply I need and I'm not sure how much the motherboard matters, but would love recommendations on which ones to get.

As for case, I guess that's a personal preference thing.

Also, is it possible to do this under $1000 AUD? If not, what sort of cost am I looking at?

Also, with the given specs, roughly how many years of gaming can I expect before needing to upgrade the GPU/CPU?

Cheers,

Hey thanks heaps for this, so this will run 1080P at 60+ frames? Seems reasonable enough! I had no idea I could get a decent GPU at that price either.

If I can find the i7 around the same price as that i5, should I get that instead?

Thank you again

A i7 will give you more fps although you will want a aftermarket cpu cooler and a board with better VRM's.

Okay cool, if the i5 is going to be all I need then I'll go with that.

Also, I just looked at the i7 and yeah, definitely not within budget. Do you recommend a specific cooler or will any do the job?

Thanks again, I didn't know PC Part Picker was a thing. I'm not sure what VRMs are sorry but I'm assuming the board you listed has good ones?

This will work fine for that i5 I posted.

You would need to add some to your budget to meet your requirement of RX 6700 XT/RTX 3060ti or above
Yeah, I had a look and they're pushing the budget a bit. But if I can run 1080p with the 6600 I'm fine with that for sure.
