[SOLVED] (help me please) All Programs open with Google Chrome *solved thanks guys*

So I wanted to open .avif files with google chrome so I set it to where .avif files open with chrome (you when you go to file properties and choose open with) and now everything else does (I thought it would only open .avif with chrome but it didn't work like that). Every time I click an app like Battle.net or Genshin Impact it would pop up as a download in google chrome. Only chrome still works normally. None of my other apps are starting up normally anymore. I don't even know how I can still use my computer right now. I don't know how to fix this. I searched around and I have seen one other person who had a similar issue(unresolved).

Hit Start - Type Default Apps - Go to Default Apps - Hit the Reset button.
You'll need to change anything that you set manually again but at least you should be able to use your computer.

Hey thank you man for a swift reply. I got it fixed. For anyone else who has this issue I went here: https://www.trishtech.com/2011/05/restore-exe-file-association-in-windows/
Warning: Now that my exe associations issue is resolved the programs I used in the link above were actually picked up by MBAM as malware.

Glad you got it fixed. You may have to fix other file extension associations as well since what you did only concerns .exes

First you'll need to get that virus/malware removed. In addition to malwarebytes, try ESET's online scanner.
