Hello,
So,
I am almost done finalizing or on the verge of buying my second PC build.
My previous build : 2011 [ i7-960/DDR3/GTX-580] - sold in 2020.

Note: Please post or suggest products available as per Indian Market. Some fancy thing available in .com or .us is just +$100 more expensive here.

Intel Option:
#i7-11700k + z590 F Gaming ROG

AMD Option:
**R7 5700G + B550 F Gaming ROG

Common:
16GBx2 [3600 / 3200 mhz] DDR4
850 W Gold PSU
Suggest among 360mm AIO [MSI or Lian Li/Corsair ]
SSD: Gen 3 SN750 or Samsung 980 [500GB]
HDD 2TB 7200rpm

Components I already own:
H500P Mesh Case
MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 Ti

# - 12th gen is expensive and mostly not easily available in India

**Why I chose APU?
It's because R 5xxx X series does not have iGPU, and for when it comes the time I sold my GPU or some unholy happens and have to sit with Dedicated GPU.
**
Also this problem worries me about AMD build:
Please read : https://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=200427

More on it: Search : "AMD usb connectivity issue site:youtube.com"
What worries people from past 1 day or week or month still posting it is not fixed.

Thanks.
Dev

I would never, ever, give MSI a single dime of my money unless I had to pay something along the lines of 25% more elsewhere to get a comparable product. So far, that has never happened. They are particularly unethical company and while all companies share some similarities in this regard, MSI is contemptuous in this regard. They will step on your neck to reach another dollar.

As far as providing links to threads about the AMD USB issues, I don't see any need to do that. You already know about it and know that it is a thing. There is really no much point in directing you to information that tells you what you already know to be a fact.

However...
Either of those configurations is more than enough for that 1080 ti configuration. Yes, the AMD USB issue exists, but for most people it's not an issue. We aren't hearing about it in droves, but we have seen some examples of this happening and in fact has even happened to some of the systems owned by veteran members here. Personally, whichever is less expensive is probably the better choice in this case because those two systems are likely going to trade blows when it comes to gaming performance with the deciding factor being which game we are talking about in that situation. One will do better in one title while the other does better in another.

The boards you have lined up are fine. I see no problem with those choices for either configuration.

If you're going to buy an AIO cooler, and those three brands are you choices, then I'd recommend sticking with Corsair in some 280mm flavor.

Thanks for response.

Can you refer or link me to those articles about AMD issues.

Also any good Gen4 / Gen3 SSD suggestions ?
good = (reasonable cost but good product )

Also, I am new on tom's forum : Can you help me find some builds made by i711700k+z590 with GTX 1080 ti.
Thanks

However:

So, what parts, exactly, do you already have, including if possible the model numbers of said parts?

What parts do you know for certain you NEED to get new?

Where, exactly, are you able (Or prefer) to purchase through? (Please provide links to any suitable retailers you are able to purchase through online. If you have to purchase from local vendors, then we are not going to be much help other than for general build suggestions like you've already received)

Hello Darkbreeze!
Thank you again for answer.

So what components I own?
As stated:

Cooler Master Case H500P mesh grey.
MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 Ti
a SATA 3.5'' 1TB WD Blue.

from my Old PC.

As you can see, I need to buy the rest. As per your suggestion I will stick with Corsair for AIO [ but can you answer do I need 360 or 280]
So ,

One more question:
With my new build with Intel Option stated in description.

How will the benchmarks look for me?
Are there people here having cpu, z590, ram and GPU common?

Hello again,

Wonder how would my system perform or what benchmark charts will my system generate or draw? :)
after almost two years, and then I can finally boot up Skyrim and all good'ol games.
[F*** cyberbug2077]

My upcoming build
  • i7 11700K + Asus z590 - F Gaming
  • Corsair AIO 360mm or 280 (not decided yet) < suggest
  • RAM : ( 16GBx2 ) 3600Mhz C16
  • MSI GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X
  • Samsung 980 500GB (Gen3) Nvme m.2
  • WD 2TB 7200 RPM HDD
  • CM MWE 850w Gold 80+
  • Monitor - LG 144Hz 1080p 24''
From this community if you have similar specs (and same CPU/z590/GPU ),
Could you share your benchmark (Gaming + workload / synthetic) ?

Thank you.

Hi,
I would strongly suggest that You go for Samsung M2 either
970. or 980.
And my I ask What type of memory are you thinking about?

Now depending of what memory module, its height:
will it fit under the CPU-Cooler?
And which CPU-Cooler?

Those are quite important questions.
Best regards from Sweden

Thank you for suggesting M.2 SSD, but I already said M.2 980
I am thinking
for AIO : corsair 360mm option
and RAM : 3600mhz CL16 or 18 depending on market. (16GB x 2) kit
