i just got a d865glc intel mobo with a 2.6 p4 on it. i put it in the case and it boots and stays on but i get no video(onboard or with the agp slot.) i also get a red LED that stays on the board. i unplugged everything but the essentials for it, (cpu, ram and vid cable) same problem. i cant tell if it POST or not cuz i get no video. i have checked to see if it is grounded correctly and it is. i have reseated the ram twice. i took it out of one case and put it in another one. any thoughts?

1.) Your power supply should have 2 cables going to the board, a 20-pin ATX power cable and a 4-pin square ATX12v cable. Do you have both of them connected? Older power supplies didn't have this mandatory second cable!
2.) What video card are you using?

yeah i got them both connected. and i am using a nv 5200. it does the same thing without the video card in it as well. it will turn on but i do not get any video.

It would be possible for your memory to be too shady to work even at boot. Have you tried with 1 module?

i figured it out this morning.
i actually didnt have it grounded correctly. thanx for tryin to help though.
