So, I recently moved where ethernet wasn't a viable option anymore. I bought an AX3000 wifi and bluetooth adapter and installed it in a PCie slot on my mobo (reference parts list below). At first, I was able to view both monitors but giving up internet connection. I kept getting "Couldn't connect to this network" when trying to connect through settings. Now I do have an ethernet powerline adapter I am using to write this post however the speeds are around 10mbps which just isn't quick enough for what I use my PC for. After installing the AX3000 drivers I found on a reddit page, the internet speeds have gone up to 190mbps. Now I noticed before installing the drivers, if I unplugged the hdmi display cable to my 2nd monitor my internet speeds increased, and when plugged in the display would go in between black and displaying what it was meant to display.

As far as my monitor setup goes, I have a 2016 dell 27 inch display rotated to be in portrait mode with a vega cable to hmi adapter before plugging into my ASUS RTX 2060 gpu. As well, my wifi adapter (according to the installation guide) says the included cable is only there to power the bluetooth functions of the adapter. I do not have any unused USB port prongs on my mobo to plug this is and already have a USB 3.0 bluetooth adapter, so I figured I didn't need to plug the included cable into my mobo.

Now, after updating the drivers for both my gpu and wifi adapter. My wifi speeds are consistent however when plugging in my 2nd monitor it interrupts to black screen quite frequently making it essentially unusable. My current thought is maybe the adapter needs more power and I may need to plug in that usb connection. The second thought is my hdmi to vga adapter is frying the whole thing. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated!!

There's no official page for your wireless adapter's drivers for your OS?

Your platform has one more BIOS version pending update.

Might want to include the make and models of your monitors as well as the adapters for your display as well. As for your GPU drivers, did you use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually installed the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command?

The adapter is the TP-Link AX3000. The drivers I used are from here:
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/pce-ax3000/helpdesk_download?model2Name=PCE-AX3000

The monitors I'm using is the LG 29WP60G-B UltraWide Monitor 29" paired with the Dell SE2216HV monitor (the one that goes black). I didn't use DDU to remove all gpu drivers, Just downloaded the latest from Nvidia and used the express install.

Also the VGA to HDMI adpater I am using for the dell monitor is just a basic one I got from BestBuy. I am using a straight displayport connection for the LG ultrawide.

I've been using one of those adapters for a couple of years without any problems. When you installed the adapter did you connect the usb cable to a usb 2 socket on your motherboard; that may be affecting the adapter's power usage. Also, the adapter contains an intel AX210 chip so you should only be using the latest drivers from the Intel website, not some third party site. Download both the wifi and bluetooth drivers and install them:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html

You can use the Intel Driver and Support assistant to monitor is your adapter in functioning correctly:

Ok, so I've plugged in the included cable into a JUSB2 port on my mobo. I also installed the intel driver & support assistant and the drivers you have linked above. The bluetooth function of the adapter now appears, and after installing the drivers the bluetooth functionality is fine. However, my 2nd monitor (dell) is occasionally going to black and then back to displaying an image. The AX3000 (according to intel driver & support assistant) is:
  • Availability: Running at full power
  • Status: This device is working properly.
My internet speeds are consistent with the speeds I am expecting. Something I noticed when booting my pc, it makes the usb disconnect sound (the sound if you were to remove a usb flashdrive from your pc) and when that happens my 2nd monitor goes black for half a second before coming on. However, it doesn't do that everytime, so far just the first time. I'll be on my pc for the next few hours, so I'll see if the problem is any worse or better than before. Still not super confident it's solved since it literally occurred after I logged in.

Update: I'm still getting black screens even after the above fixes. Also I wanted to mention when on ethernet, I have no problems with my display so I'm assuming it has to do something with the AX3000 using a PCie slot. I do have my gpu overclocked on msi afterburner and I'm wondering if maybe the higher power limit is causing the problem? I really don't know at this point.
