Hi I'm new here so I don't know if the this is the right section but I built myself a budget computer last and this Christmas I got a new processor and a new CPU, I installed the components the same day and my computer froze while i was playing games this has happened every time i play games even non resource hungry games, I checked my CPU temperature and it runs at 52c at max load and since it's quite a cold room 21c idle, My Gpu was also running at 33c, I should also point out that I ran memtest on my memory and it says that they've passed, I know it's not a heat problem since the temps look as they should, Here are my specs:
Processor- FX6300 Six-core 3.50ghz (Not overclocked)
Motherboard- Asus M5A78L-M LX3 Socket AM3+ VGA 8 Channel Audio mATX
RAM (Random Access Memory) -G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory x2 4gb sticks
GPU (Graphics card) -Asus HD 7770 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E
PSU (Power Supply Unit) -CiT 500w (It came with my case)
Heat Sink- Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2, With arctic silver 5
Operating System- Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Is there a chance that I may need a new motherboard or could my PSU be underpowered/dying and will I need a new one.
Please help
