Help! Need a CPU under £150!

Hi. I'm building a budget pc with a gpu of gtx 1050ti. Just wondering what the best cpu is, preferably under £110, that would run a game like battlefront on ultra at 60fps plus, and that pairs well with the 1050ti. Cheers

woah thanks for such a quick reply. would dual cores not affect performance or is it worth stretching to an i5?

the i3-7100 has hyper threading, so it's a dual core with 2 virtual threads.

The i3-7350K is a new CPU that has been getting good reviews, but you'd need a Z270 board to take advantage of the K series processor. Do you already have a motherboard that you plan on using?

Intel Pentium G4560 looks to be the best budget CPU these days, and it has hyperthreading. Quad core would be best, but then we aren't talking budget build anymore are we? Also, you have already decided on a 1050 Ti, which in my opinion is underpowered for an i5 based system. Budget CPU plus budget GPU is a good balance. I think the difference in performance between the Pentium with hyperthreading and the i3 is too small to justify the extra cost.

To be honest i just found a mob that was as cheap as possible haha, any reccomendations?

It's not that it works better, it's that it saves you money. If you know you'll be using a 1050 Ti, then you know what level of performance, best case, you'll be getting in games. All you need is a CPU that reaches that performance level. You could spend more on a faster CPU but it won't increase game performance since the 1050 Ti can only work so fast.

Of course, if you have other needs besides gaming then you might want a faster CPU, but you didn't mention that. You just mentioned gaming.
