Hopefully somebody could help me with this enquiry, or know somebody who could please.
My Windows 11 was corrupted, it had to be re-installed, I am now trying to install Paragon Backup software on to it.

I need to contact somebody who has experience with this Paragon software.

More information needed.

Did Windows 11 reinstall and run without problems? Source, how reinstalled?

Exactly what Paragon installation problems are occuring?

Any error codes, pop-ups, etc. from Windows and/or Paragon?

Have you actually contacted Paragon?

Take some screenshots and post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

I made a Paragon back up, it is on a separate disk from my C drive, this was done using Paragon's free software. Following my Windows 11 re-installation - no problems, I downloaded and installed Paragon Backup and Recovery 18 Community Edition.

I have also downloaded and installed Paragon Paragon SOF on a memory stick.
It in turn has located the backup that I wish to re-install. In trying to install this backup I get as far as
View backup contents >> Browse backup contents and view disk layout

Now clicking on any of the disks >, also Files and Folders nothing happens, no drop downs appear.
I have not contacted Paragon, as I cannot find a free source, is there one please?
How do I post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com)?
I can go no further, could somebody please advise as to what I should do next?

Backup software will in general not allow you to backup onto a fully working disk with an OS installation, too high a chance of users messing up.

I made a full image backup with Paragon before my Windows 11 was corrupted.
I want to restore this image backup, so my PC goes back to how it was.
How do I do this please?

I've never used it. And their website is maddeningly frustrating.

So the moment of truth, only to me meet by the attached, previous backups before my last also produced the same result.

So I’m now wondering if I could extract/restore one particular app from this backup., my Mozilla Thunderbird emails?

Or is this the end of the line.

Go to windows disk management
go to menu action>create vhd
create a vhd (virtual hard drive) big enough to hold the backup
run paragon and restore to that vhd
copy out any and all information you want/need.

Try running easybcd and adding the vhd to the boot menu, if the image is from the whole disk including the boot partition then it might allow you to boot right into the vhd.

From how you say you are navigating to the backup it sounds like you are navigating to the view contents (directory by directory) rather than actually navigating to the drive backup. You say "Now clicking on any of the disks >, also Files and Folders " this is how you would restore a single directory - not restore a full drive (if I've picked you up correctly). The fact you are looking at "files and folders as per what you quoted would suggest this. You should be clicking to restore the full backup - full drive. In other words I think if you can see directory by directory, you are in the wrong part to restore an entire drive.

Also along with that software if you select the Help at the bottom you can navigate to a help PDF which you can download and read. It's not the most intuitive backup software I've used but it is free and you do need to read the documentation.

I can't paste a screenshot here but if you try this on the site it may help you.
