help needed!

Hello everyone!
I've decided to make my own kind of a HDTV box. I imagined I'd use a kind of
mATX mbo, P4 proc, DVB pci satelite card, TVTuner card, DVD reader...
I want to make a small comp so it can replace VCR, DVD player, CD player
etc. (they use a lot of space that I don't have...
Now, I've heard that matrox mill. G550 (and G450) give best picture when
connected to TV (my creation would only be connected to TV), specially
comparing to nvidia and ati. Now, I've also heard that there might be some
problems with displaying picture from TV tuner on TV. Some ppl told me that
G550 only displays media files played in some dvd players or win media
player etc...
So I need someone to tell me can I connect that card to TV, will I get nice
image on it, and, can I display all contents from my desktop (like tv tuner,
dvb programme, or just my desktop...) on TV?

My G450 dual-head displays a fine picture
when playing back dvd, divx, mpeg movies
etc. through my 50" big screen w/svideo. I haven't tried TV yet & don't play
games. It was in my Abit KT7A-R board but I use it in an Abit NF7-S now adn
will use it to display tv on my monitor.
Still goin strong.
