Ok so i viewed a lot of things here in tom's hardware and i was stunned about a lot of things happening from video cards to power supplies etc.
So i was wondering if my specs. would be good enough and have no problems for a long time. Here it is
Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
Motherboard H81M-P33
corsair vengeance 4gb ddr3 1600
500GB SATA3 or 1TB(Please recommend low price but good HDD)
sapphire r7 260x 2gb gddr5 128bit or palit geforce gtx750 ti stormx oc gddr5 128 bit
power supply( i dont really know what to buy but 500w to 600w may be good i guess)

this is all i know that i really needed but if there are more please help and recommend other parts to change in my specs
(I'm from phillipines and we really need help right now)

A good hard drive would be Western Digital Caviar Blue, the 500GB version is only 4USD cheaper so go for the 1TB
You should really get 8GB of RAM, Kingston HyperX or Patriot Viper3 2x4GB, 1600MHz, Corsair is also good.
For the graphics card, if you can, go for GTX750Ti,

You should also buy an aftermarket cooler, stock coolers are basically worthless for gaming. Hyper Evo 212 or Thermaltake Frio Advanced are a good choice.

A good quality 550W PSU will be more than enough, Corsair CX series are pretty good if the electrical infrastructure in your town is stable.

A nice cheap chassis of my choice is Sharkoon REX8 Value edition (economy edition is even cheaper)

If you want faster boot up you could get an SSD, Kingston V300 60GB is very good and cheap (ONLY for the OS, or higher capacity for other programs)

It all depends on your budget and the prices at your preferred dealer.

How about getting a 960, it should appear around the world soon, and it seems to be a great budget/mid range card.

grana:Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 64MB 1TB be good also?
dzsonni: i can't afford it though i would like to get more recommendations with the same price range like 260x and gtx750ti
chandan: im going for intel because this rig will be with me for 3-4 years i guess like my last desktop

are arftermarket coolers necessary or are there other cheaper than that
are there other psu that cost only 30-35 dollars?
sharkoon rex8 here i don't know if we have one here in philippines but is it also necessary?
my budget is only 500 dollars or 20000 pesos here in philippines i guess
im prioritizing the processor, video card and motherboard so i guess i will be spending most of it in these things but please I really need your recommendations

Aftermarket coolers are necessary for gaming these days, stock coolers aren't as efficient, even if they would keep the CPU in valid temps under load their RPM's go so high that they sound like jet engines. Their max RPM is around 4500. High performance aftermarket coolers will keep the CPU cool(-er) and will produce less noise, 120mm (most common size) fans spin at around 2500RPM and they are designed to be quiet so late night gaming won't wake up the entire household and beyond.

The quality of the power supply is VERY important. Trying to save money on this critical component, thus buying a low quality PSU is very dangerous, bad PSUs can fry your entire system and i doubt that you want to risk a barbecue in your PC

It is necessary to get a chassis with good airflow (for fan mounting), that hot air needs to go out somewhere.. Just get one that is available and effective (nothing fancy in looks, just efficiency)

This link i a part list for a 500 USD gaming PC made by Austin Evans (Youtube), check it out and see if you can get better components for the price range cause these prices are from early June, 2014.

thanks the build is awesome
will the amd processor last for 3-4 years with me playing games like nba 2k15 and other games?
i think i can change the processor or the excess money may be used for gtx750ti rather than 260x as many have said 😀
and can i ask you this?
my last desktop have lasted 5 years with me
and its power supply is not that good and we were getting some temp issues sometimes turning off of the cpu then i will wait some 5 hours or so and it will open again and sometimes we can play for 12 hours on going then the next day it won't open
is this what you are saying?
and its an intel build

OK McAllen I suggest you go for intel 4th generation like,,Intel i5 4690K Processor, with Z97 MOBO like ASRock Z97 extreme 6a/c,Corsair Vengeance 2 X 4GB(Total 8 GB ) DDR3 1600MHz RAM,Asus NVIDIA GTX 760 Direct CUII OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card is great for gaming and overclocking but if did not spend more on GPU Than go with Asus NVIDIA GTX650-E-2GD5 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card on really cheap price, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB(For ssd this size is very good for better speed on PC You install every program in this drive like, games.for data and other file's use only HDD), Seagate Barracuda 1TB Internal storage, Asus DVD Writer , Good Cpu Cooler Corsair h80i liquid Cooler is very good, but if u not spend extra than go with After market Air Series Cooler,,like Cooler master Hyper 212X, Cooler master Thunder 700W or Antec VP650P 650 Watts PSU is good for gaming & overclocking , Cabinet go with Antec GX 900 or GX 700( Both cabinet Support ATX & mATX , These both cabinet support all aftermarket Liquid & Air Series Cpu Cooler). these all product is great for Gaming & Overclocking & also very cheap price,,,,,,,

how much would this thing cost?
and i would really love to get my hands on gtx750ti after seeing more issues on the r7 260x and its power consumption
if i would choose gtx750ti what could I down grade or take out in this built.
where are you from dude? i would like to get a 500 dollar rig or less :)

if u called mid gaming rig than u must spend minimum 700 to 800 $ & for hard core gaming u must ready for spend 1000$ to 1300$,,,,but in your case u want to spend only 500$ in this cost you only build good value and performance PC ,,,,,,,, So i really suggest you just spend Little more & build your own MID but very good Gaming RIG,,, If u have 700$ to 800$ than u just remove Samsung 840 evo 250GB to only use 120GB SSD of this model, use ASRock Z97extreme 4, otherwise every thing same

"Stock coolers are useless for gaming"

What rubbish.

Stock coolers are fine even if you Overclock your CPU somewhat.

OP consider a second hand graphics card and CPU. Always get a new motherboard if you can. Same for SSD.

invest in a high quality PSU eg corsair.. Will last you for years and years.

dont be suckered in to building a lower performing PC for your $$$ becasue you care more about fluffery eg fast ram, all brand new components, expensive pc case that will look shit in 6 months anyway etc.

well i now prioritize the processor power supply memory aftermarket coolers motherboard and video card
can you recommend a build with that priority for 500 USD
and i don't even mind having a really cheap pc case because im at home and it won't matter at all :)

an intel i5 4460 would suffice?
and why not gtx750ti? its much cheaper and power efficient though
and what brand of power supply can handle this rig? what should i look out for like bronze something like that(sorry ima noob)
and lastly, will this last 3-4 years and im not overclocking though if it can then why not 😀

seagate barracuda 1tb
kingston hyperx 8gb
and fx6300
geforce gtx 750ti
asus m5a78l-m
evga 500w
cooler master hyper evo 212
pc case i will pick the cheapest but good
this rig good dudes to last 3-4 years playing games like far cry 4 without overclocking
though i can right?

how about the amd built i made is it good for 3-4 years with overclocking or not?
