Help open movie clip!

I keep getting an error message " Windows media player encounter an unknoun error"

If it's an AVI file, you probably need the DivX codec to open the movie clip
in Media Player. Can be found here:

Only if it's divx encoded.
If it's an mpeg2 file it'll be something else entirely and we could go on
forever guessing, so a bit more info would give a more accurate answer first
time :)

Woody,
As you no doubt know, not all avi files are divx encoded, so if the OP is
not as knowledgeable as yourself, he may well find he still gets nowhere
after downloading the divx codec. So surely my reply is help!!!!!
Is asking for more information from the OP going to help solve the problem?
