Hello - I'm currently building a simple home-office build. Upon turning on the system, it cannot get past a constant white LED (for VGA) on my motherboard and there is nothing posting to display.
Main Components:
CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G Picasso 3.5GHz Dual-Core AM4
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Gaming 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400
Mobo: ASUS B450-I ROG Strix Gaming AMD AM4 mITX Motherboard
Other:
SSD: WD Black SN750 250GB SSD 3D V-NAND PCIe NVMe
PSU: Included in Inwin Chopin mini-ITX Mini-Tower
GPU: n/a
The AMD Athlon 3000G's integrated Radeon Vega 3 graphics should be able to handle the graphics, correct? If that's the case, why does the motherboard's VGA LED remain on; is it looking for a discrete graphics card?
Another potential consideration - could it be the AMD Athlon 3000G is too new of a processor and my motherboard's BIOS is not up-to-date (I am doubting this is the case as the motherboard's specifications mentions supporting AMD Radeon Vega Series ...)?
Any help/advice/tips would be much appreciated, thanks!
