Thanks to the communities support I learned that I made a poor choice in components for my build. I want to use my pc for video editing, so far my choice of components have left me wanting. At the moment I'm using the onboard video card, but I want to upgrade for a card that supports dual monitors with hdmi and dvi connections. I want to top out the ram in dual channel mode, and need a faster cpu that's supported by my motherboard. I don't plan on overclocking, but if someone thinks its safe, my bios supports it. Oh, and I'm not using it for gaming.
This is the motherboard I'm using.
ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 AMD 760G (780L)/SB710 Motherboard - MicroATX, Socket AM3+, AMD 760G (780L)/SB710), DDR3 1866 MHz, USB 2.0, SATA II (3Gb/s), 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, PCIe 2.0, DirectX 10, CrossfireX
Two things to note;
1.I live in Canada, so if someone wants to link to specific part, if you don't mind, can you link to a Canadian site please.
2.I will be using Linux as the OS because this is what I'm comfortable with.
Thanks folks, your help has been invaluable.
