Hey guys just finished my 2nd build and Im trying to learn how to OC the RAM. I have an MSI board and a ryzen 3900x so I used a ryzen RAM calculator software and it asks for the Die type of the ram but I'm not sure what it is and have had some trouble trying to figure it out. And I'm starting to think I should've gone with other RAM but I'm still very new to this.
RAM is OLOy 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200

-Thank you for any help

Solution
Maybe because Oloy is new and not supported yet?
Or more likely Oloy doesn't follow industry standards for storing and reporting SPD data. Beyond those certain bits necessary to support initialization and training I don't think all SPD data is necessary, just informative.

Edit: in Tom's article on OLOy, the modules they looked at contained either SpecTec (a division of Micron) or Hynix RAM. Doesn't help with knowing exactly which variant (die revision) but it does reduce the number of guesses somewhat.
Is there an option for Samsung A-die in the calculator, the last time I checked there was none. I found that there was a point were a lower value would stop the system from booting. The CMOS reset switch is going to be your best friend.

I start tuning my B-die at 1.4 volts, took me awhile to research what was considered as safe. The JEDEC standard on wiki for DDR4 is 1.2-1.4 volts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR4_SDRAM

Also we are random people on a forum helping each other, don't consider us experts without proof.

You will need to run memtest, a usb stick is the easiest way. Aida64 can help with making sure that the IF is stable.

What's the difference between the couple of different SOC settings in bios compared to the suggestion in the ryzen calculator?
And what should CHIPSET CLDO VOLTAGE be set at?

zx128k

Reputable
CLDO SoC voltage should be kept below 1.1 volts. CLDO VDDG should be 10mV to 40mV lower than CLDO SoC voltage and can't be equal to CLDO SoC. I went with 10mV. CLDO VDDP is for the memory, I left that a auto which defaulted to 1.1 volts. That voltage approach but cannot be higher than vDRAM. https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/wiki/cpu/amd#wiki_am4

My settings for IF 1900 are CLDO SoC voltage 1.010volts (1 volt is lowest in my BIOS) and CLDO VDDP 1 volt (lowest in my BIOS). I have left CLDO VDDP auto as I have not had to touch it to get stable but intend to reduce it at some point. Currently testing 0.950 volts for CLDO VDDP. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-memory-tweaking-overclocking-guide/2.html

I apologize my friend. I didn't make that very clear at all plus I posted the wrong pic on my last reply. Meant to post the calculator results.
So I have a few questions. The calculator only suggests the SOC voltage but the bios has
CPU NB/SOC VOLTAGE and
CHIPSET SOC VOLTAGE so what's what?
And I'm also stumped on
CHIPSET CDLO VOLTAGE,
what should that be?

And also shouldn't I have Gear down mode enabled and disable power down?

Where'd you end up? Starting to fool around with mine...have 2x16 at stock atm. Also have some bdie 2x8 gskill stuff running 3600 16 as well...but i'd like to get the 32gb oloy stuff going too...will start with some of the other settings folks have posted...also has anybody tried 4x16 oloy?
