Help. (Regarding Game)

Oh ok, i bought assassin creed 1 just now and i installed it, i was playing the game but i can't hear what Al Mualim (Teacher of the main character) is speaking. Altually i mean that i can't hear voices of any character, i tried using some steps shown in a video but when i go to "Right Click-Personalize-Display-Change Display Settings-Advanced, i cannot see any Troubleshoot tab. please help me i want my hardware acceleration to be disabled. Thank You

I purchased the game from a nearby mall, I usually purchase all my games from there, but this is the first time something like this has happened


also i forgot to mention that i am using windows 8.1 and there's no performance tab in the control panel and all that go and go
