Rig:

i7 930 (1366 LGA) @ 2.8 Ghz [not OC'd]
Asus P6t SE Mobo (x58 chipset)
3x2GB DD3 1333Ghz RAM (3x2gb Kingston Value Ram - KVR1333D3N9/2G)
Asus GTX 760
Corsair HX750 Professional Series Power Supply

At first I wanted to buy just one additional stick of 2gb ram (KVR1333D3N9/2G) to get my total up from 6GB to 8GB, but I found that an additional stick of the ram I have would cost me about $60 which is a bit steep for just an additional 2gb of ram.

Decided I wanted to get a new RAM kit that totals 8gb, looked at QVL (i want to limit possibilities of problems and incompatibility) for my P6T SE Mobo, but all kits listed only total to 6GB or 12GB for 1333ghz RAM. I already have 6gb and 12gb kits are a bit too pricey.

I want to stick to 1333ghz RAM as my mobo manual says RAM that requires more than 1.5volts is too much and will fry my board.

Can anyone help me find a kit that totals 8gb in 1333ghz RAM that runs at 1.5volts and will work on my mobo? I guess if I have to buy individual sticks (not in a kit) I can do that too, but i'm trying to avoid it. I'm looking to spend between $60 and $90.

Thanks!

Would updating BIOS do the same as clearing CMOS? I might try that instead since I havn't ever done it since I got the mobo in 2011? Also I read one some forums that the i7 920 defaults to 1066mhz, maybe thats the issue and i just need to OC the ram.

The BIOS has an xmp profile and my x58 board is supposed to support it, im just afraid that if I switch to XMP profile (1600mhz) the voltage would go past 1.5v an brick my board....

I used a site called crucial.com. It scanned by laptop and told me exactly what I need and even showed me the options I have on their site. It was a lot easier than pestering others for answers which may or may not come.
