Hello everyone[/i] :)

I bought
gigabyte ga-p35-ds4 Motherboard
with
xeon x5460 CPU .
The problem is that this mobo requires 8pin connector for CPU but my PSU only has 1x4pin connector.
Is it safe to use only that 1 4pin connector and connect it to half of 8pin(i think not),or is there any adapter to use to create 8pin connector with enough power to power x5460.
Its TDP is around 120w which scares me away of using one 4pin connector.
I just want to hear Yours solutions about this.
Here is an image that shows 8pin connectorfor my mobo;now, do i need to power only 3,4,7 and 8 pin for cpu to work. And if yes...will it be enough for x5460?

Thank you!

Solution
Solution is buy a proper PSU to use with the hardware you have period. Don't shortcut, don't use adapters, don't wire things up, the PSU is the backbone of any good PSU. You could buy a proper 8pin bronze PSU that won't blow up your house for $40

Yeah, i was planning on buying new psu anyway, but not atm :)
Since i am building this for my little bro,and im a student..i didnt want to blow all my money at start.
I wanted to buy psu and new gpu when needed.
Should i get :
1. http://www.ultron.de/details.php?artnr=50432&lang=en#.WQGiL3-0nIU /650w/non modular/regular
or
2. http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=54&no=91 /500w/modular/80 plus
or
3. http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/netzteile/silent-serie/lc5550-v22/ /550w/non modular/80+ bronze

i can buy those three since i found them new at reasonable price(im a student so... xd )
im afraid that 500w will be small(well system will use 450+w of power with gpu and ram and all added...just want to think in advance)

What do You think about this one:
http://realpower.de/details.php?artnr=86394#.WQGl5H-0nIU

i know...they are all pff but im on a short budget :/
