Question Help with a $1000 build

For gaming dual tower is recommended and you will face this issue with most dual towers. The other alternative is AIO which will increase the budget quite a bit for similar performance.
Instead I would recommend to go for a low profile RAM as originally suggested in my part list. In most instances you wont be able to make out the difference between 3600mhz CL16 and CL18 memory, and it will fit nicely.

Ok, I switched out the RAM, will I have any problems with this, what do we think folks?

Corsair LPX and AMD have had a history of not working well together. It also wouldn't be any faster than a 3200 CL16 kit, if it did work well with AMD.

I would replace it with this.

As I noted before, this is not entirely correct. A 3200 cl16 kit and a 3600 cl 18 kit both have the same first word latency of 10ms, however, the 3600 kit has the higher transfer speeds when or if that matters.

Ryzen is latency sensitive, unlike Intel, so it becomes the same. For Intel the 3600 is probably slightly faster.

If you were to get a very expensive RAM kit like 3600 cl14 it would make anywhere between a 1-6% difference in performance for gaming.
