Help with a homebuilt system

Hello everybody!

I'm having an issue with one of my homebuilt systems. This computer has the following configuration:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
Memory: Kingston DDR2 2x1GB PC6400
Graphic Card: BFG 9600GT
Motherboard: Asrock P43Twins1600
OS: Windows XP Professional SP 3

What my problem is, is that this computer is EXTREMELY slow. It takes up to 3 minutes to boot up the system and use it properly. I have no idea why this happens. I've updated the bios to the latest one (2.0) and still no difference.

I really look for an answer to my problem because it's been going like this for 5 months.

have you tried running any tests on your ram and hard drive to see if there working fine?

What hard drive are you running at that is often the limiting factor in boot times

Have you installed the motherboard drivers from the disk that came with your board?

I have found the problem. I guess the problem was the partition on which the Windows was installed on. I reinstalled on another partition and it seems that everything runs smoothly. Thank you all anyway!
