I'm thinking about getting an apu configuration that will look something like this:

Processor AMD Kaveri A8-Series X4 7600 (3.8GHz,4MB,65W,FM2+) box
Spire Kepler Rev.2 ,(cooler), 1156/775/FM1, 96.5×51×125 mm ,92mm
Asrock FM2A78M-DG3+, AMD FM2+ Socket A78 Chipset MB
HDD Seagate 1TB, Serial ATA III, 7200 rpm, ST1000DM003
DDR3 4GB (1x4GB) Kingston, 1866MHz, CL10, HyperX FURY, HX318C10F
PSU CORSAIR 430W, CX Series 80+ Bronze, EPS12V v2.3, 80+

Though later on I'm thinking of upgrading it a bit with a separate graphics card, also something of R7 series, such as R7 265 and another 4GB of ram. And also ssd for accelerating the pc.

Anyway, this is the first time I'm actually building and buying an apu config, so I'm just a little cautious with how good the Kaveri is. Many reviews say it's a great cpu, though i can't really find any good comparisons between Kaveri and some normal cpus. I just wonder how well will the games of last gen such as Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age run, and how well will such a config stand with the next gen requirements.
Please help me out if you can! Also if you think anything else is upgradeable of the components listed, lemme know. :)

Modern APUs (assuming the same graphics card), perform about the same in games as first generation I5s, I7s and last generation 775 core2extremes.

So they are not BAD, just not worth getting if you plan to go higher end or if the price is not lower than comparable FX or i3 CPUs.

This config goes well into my budget, so currently i think this would be the best option for me. And I'm not really looking for the top notch quality in games with everything maxed out... If it's gonna run things on High well, it will be good for a long time, until i decide to get something of a higher end.

If you've got around £60 in your budget for the ram, pick up a set of 2x4GB 2133mhz. It's pretty much the sweet spot for gaming on an APU. The additional throughput makes a huge difference!

I'd suggest an SSD, get a 120 or 240gb one they aren't expensive anymore, use this for your OS, for programs that load when you boot windows, and for a few games. The performance from one SSD to another is nothing compared to the jump from an old HDD. Any SSD is an order of magnitude better than a HDD; even the cheapest!, Keep the Seagate as a storage drive though, its very good!

Another path one could take is an SSHD or Hybrid, they aren't as fast as an SSD but they are faster than a traditional HDD. At least for frequently used files, like your OS and boot programs.

Thanks for all the advice.

But since I'm not really convinced in apu gaming yet, here is a config with a gpu+cpu combo, it goes well into my budget and it has a good amount of further upgrades. So at the end it should give me better performance than apu.
So tell me if you have any advice for the upgrades on that and what do you think how does it compare with the previous config.
