Hi everyone,

I am looking to build a gaming pc but I have zero experience with this. I'm looking to buy in the next week. My budget is $1400. I stay in California, US. My current game cycles are WOW and Overwatch. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you are playing at 1080P take the above build and change the GPU to a RTX 2070 because the CPU will bottleneck an RTX 2080 at 1080P. AMD doesn't make a CPU that can keep up with an RTX 2080 or GTX 1080Ti at 1080P.

However if you are playing at 1440P then the above build is fine.

That is false or to be exact it is not completely true. The problem of bottlenecking RTX2080 and even RTX2080Ti is limited to extremely few titles which are not well optimized to share the workload between cores. Since 2017 from all the titles released only 15% titles are facing this problem. Even majority of older games(launched before 2017) are not facing bottleneck.
