Question Help with connecting 5.1 to PC

Hi i cant seem to connect this 5.1 system to my pc its Samsung HT-TP33 5.1
Edit: I want to use it as speakers for my PC
Home system ports:

Its working fine on my tv and i use Toslink optical cable but on my PC my motherboard doesnt have that

My motherboard is Asus prime b450m-a

Can anyone help me maybe im missing something and it can be connected without optical cable port if not can u guide me what adapters i need to buy to connect it anyway possible.

If you want 5.1 audio the only way is through the optical port. You will need to buy an add-in PCI audio card for your PC that has optical out. And whatever you have connected to it currently will have to be removed. That is unless you buy a toslink switch.

Can i connect it anyway possible i dont really need the 5.1 surround fealing. Can i just use them as regular speakers?

Something like this should work. Just connect to audio out(green port) on motherboard. Plug other end into AUX IN on receiver.

Im bashing my head trying to figure out how it didnt work before. Maybe cause i replaced my motherboard 15 days ago

Did you reinstall Windows(preferably) or at least update/change the audio drivers?

Yeah i know my way around PC's there was actually no indication why in the world it wouldnt work. But oh well it works who knows why it didnt. Thanks anyway
