Hi everyone,
Let me just apologize beforehand... I am new to the Computer parts market and may not have the proper understanding. This is the first custom build where I am buying ALL the parts myself and building it fromt the ground up. I have a budget around $850 for the system (monitor not included). I will be using the computer mostly for gaming and simple software programming(c++, java, opengl). I have done some research and decided I would like to get:
Asus p8p67 Pro Motherboard: $180
Intel i5 2500k lg1155: $220
but after those two parts im already looking at half my budget!! I figure its better to get a quality motherboard and processor to extend the life of my system but will my budget allow it? Any reccomendations if not? id at least like the mobo to be sli/xfire compatible
I was wondering is it possible to finish the build(including case) under budget and still have a nice or at least decent graphics card? I say decent because I would rather start with a cheaper card then sli or xfire it down the road or is that not an efficent way to do graphics for gaming?
Thanks again everyone I welcome all recommendations on any part I may need and remember I am building from the ground up so I need everything. LOL
