Question Help with first built system

First build but issues arrisen, no display from HDMI to see BIOS and Q-leds flash in pattern orange, red, white and then green stays on.

First time building a PC, and I am trying to perform a bios update. I am for some reason not seeing any display on my monitor an the Q-Leds on my ASUS B450-f Gaming flash in the pattern of orange, red, white and then green, with green being the only LED on after this pattern. Is anyone able to help

this might be an insulting question but you did plug your monitor cable into the gpu and not the mother board right?
