I'm looking to buy a gaming monitor to play fps games on the Xbox one, mostly Halo MCC. I've narrowed my search to these two monitors and was wondering if anyone could help me out on which one to buy.

I understand that I wont be getting the full benefit from the the Asus since Xbox one doesnt support 144hz. I strictly narrowed my search by trying to figure out which monitor has the least amount of input lag.

From the research i have found it seems the BenQ monitor is almost the same monitor as this other monitor:

The reason why i prefer the other one is the stand.

If anyone knows alot about monitors and will help me decide it will be greatly appreciated. And like i said i know the colors and image quality is lacking, i am more interested in input lag.

To Be Honest You Wont Be Fully Utilizing anyone of these. as i bought one for myself i thought i could. but it never reached its 100% capability at the same time. so i would suggest ASUS VG248QE only if u want the best of the rest. as it will give a great range of 80,000,000:1 contrast ratio. which is fairly respectable for this segment . The GAME PLUS technology will work great with an AMD/ATI GPU.

On the 2nd position i would look for BenQ RL2460HT. which for me can be a good alternative but not the best choice.
but as ur preference u should buy whichever u want. my suggestion will be the ASUS VG248QE.

I know I won't be. The reason I narrowed it down to these two is because of the input lag. I'm very picky about that and want to make sure I get the best one. On display lag it says the benq is 10 but on another website it says the asus is 7.

Im wondering if that's only when 144hz is enabled though. Anyone know if the input lag will suffer greatly when not using 144hz? Since the xbox one cant use it?

Or in general what one would you rather have for the xbox one and on terms of input lag?

Since you have mentioned that u will only be using XBOX as the primary or the only device. i m pretty sure u should go with the asus one. just because XBOX wont be utilizing its true range. so it'll always give u the best. at my end i would have bought the asus one because of its dynamic contrast ratio and the newest technology packed in it. i guess its one of the finest within the price range. so yeah. i would've gone with the asus one.
