Short description: My PC's connection to our cable modem dies and reconnects once an hour. Other devices connected to the cable modem don't lose connection and remain connected to the internet while this happens. This happens regardless of which network card / wireless card I use on my PC, or which port on the modem I'm connected to. I didn't experience this when i was on windows 7 (2 weeks ago). I've tried everything for so long and can't fix it. Please help!

Modem: Actiontec V1000H (http://www.actiontec.com/191.html)
Ethernet Switch: D-Link DGS-1005G (http://ca.dlink.com/products/connect/5-port-gigabit-desktop-switch/)
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5283#ov)
Network Adapter #1: Intel® I218-V Gigabit LAN (http://ark.intel.com/products/71305/Intel-Ethernet-Connection-I218-V)
Cat6 Cables (Recently Bought/New): http://www.ebay.ca/itm/262392777349?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=561187856281&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Any help greatly appreciated as this is a very frustrating problem for an Overwatch player. Also to mention that a lot of people seem to be having this issue even after disabling Power Management options (Seen on forums).

Solution
Well it seems that the problem wasn't windows 10 or 7 or my Mobo, it was a new cat6 cable I bought that was faulty. started to use my old cat5e cables and works 100% fine with no drops. well R.I.P me.
For your network driver there will be two versions a generic version Intel gives to Microsoft and a custom version that Intel gives to the motherboard vendor. There is a good chance that the upgrade substituted the older Intel custom version for the newer generic Microsoft version of the driver. You might find that going to the motherboard vendor you could pick up the updated Intel version. Or go directly to the Intel website to get the update. Note: you might have to select the driver as the default one to use after the install.

You could also monitor non paged pool use to see if there was a bug that would cause the network connection to reset over time.
Ie the driver/ program runs out of resource fails and the connection is reset. Problem would be your only fix would be to change the network driver version. So you might try that firstto save debugging time

I had not yet tried to change the PnPCapabilities reg file, so i changed it to 18 (24) as the forum told me to and i'll let you know if this works, PRAYING IT DOES!!!!

Edit: Changing the PnPCapabilities from 0x118 (280) to 0x18 (24) or 0x24 (36) made my internet worse and disconnect more, but I tried turning on intel's Gigabit Master Slave Mode (Forced Master Mode) and haven't gotten any disconnects so far.

Edit 2: Still getting disconnects and I don't know what to do.
