Help with Low FPS

Alright here is my system.
i7-9700k
RTX2080
G skills 16gb ram 3200
Samsung 1Tb SSD
Gigabyte z390 aorus pro wifi
LG 1080p 60z monitor

I am curious as to why my fps are so low. On Battfield V, Witcher 3, star wars battlefront I am sitting around 40-50 for. Seems to not matter what game I play that's where I am at. What am I missing??????

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS for your motherboard. Then uninstall your current GPU drivers, download the latest found on Nvidia's support site and reinstall the drivers with the latest version, You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU.

I have an evga 850 watt psu. Ok I checked and I don't have the latest bios version but I get an error from Windows when I try and update saying windows can't run this app

You’re not alone, I’ve got a smiler setup and experiencing low FPS in most games. I will update this post with a summary of my specs and also any solution I find that may help others.
