I just built my very first computer and my screen only says "Reboot and select proper Boot drive". I do not have any os on my single, 2 tb hard drive. i have everything plugged in.
Now is the point were you install an OS. Insert the boot OS media(usb or dvd) enter the bios and set it as the first boot device or enter the one time boot menu(if your board has one) during post and select the usb or dvd. It should boot to that and you can start the OS install.

Thank you so much! it worked and is up and running.
If it's not to much trouble I do have one more question. What network adapter do you recommend? I can include my specs if you need them.
Does your motherboard not have an integrated nic? Most modetn boards habe a bukt in nic and its good from most uses.
It has killer (tm) lan.
Damn it! i thought the wireless adapter was my problem. on windows 10, i am unable to find any wireless networks. however on the computer i am using to post these threads, i am connected. any ideas?
Nic is short for network interface card, they come in wired and wireless flavors. If you want to connect to a wireless network a wireless nic is required. Yiu can get a pci-e or usb card.
