Help with Smiter build

I decided to build a Smiter as it's the only Pally variation I haven't
played. Does anyone have any advice on skill points and stats? Smiter gear
of choice?

Is Smite the primary attack or do Smiters zeal first and then use Smite on
bosses? What auras enhance Smite?

Smite is more of a bonus skill to other builds since you
can increase its damage through Crushing blow or using
Procing gear(Voice of reason) with Conviction.If you were
PvP then you might max Smite,Holyshield and Fanaticism.

smiters happen to be the best build to kill the new quest bosses.. heres a
guide by someone from irc:

its elite gear oriented but gives you the basic idea..
