Hi All!
So long story short
Want to upgrade to w10 to try it (from w7 ultimate), but all my files are on second drive, and OS is on main SSD.
Will the upgrade keep that current setting?
If it does not and I want to go back to a recovery image, will the setting comeback?
It just seems that no info on this subject has come out (or spread) yet, so I am asking.
Hope I posted in the right section.
Thanks in advance.

OK, then. That is all good.
I mentioned that, because some people try to force everything to be elsewhere, by doing some Registry foolishness.
That always causes issues later on.

To be honest with you I have no idea, its my brother's computer and we bought it for him from a custom PC place. So I have not messed around with it.
To give you an idea, all my program files, desktop, libraries, all are located on the E:/ drive.

/users folder is on the main SSD C:/ Drive.
So you think if I upgrade and/or roll back, all should be ok in terms of the 2 drives and the filesystem?

"Should be"
I did it on my laptop, with two partitions.
No issues.
After dinner tonight, I'm going to upgrade my HTPC, with multiple drives, etc. Not expecting any issues, but I WILL disconnect those other drives first.

Well, I am trying to back up my two main drives now just in case (C and E drive, all together 400gb) to an internal HDD with 2.4tb free, but everytime I run system image it fails due to a shadow error, so now I am starting to rethink the whole thing :/

I think the main thing is - how was all that stuff directed to the E drive? If the applications were installed normally, just selecting E as the location, no problem.
If this was done via some registry mess, all bets are off. I would expect a major fail.

I know that all apps when installed give you an option to select Dir, and E is always selected, some apps like word, bluestacks, and other menial stuff that needs to be fast are kept on C
But by default all programs ask for C, and we change it to E
