Help with wirless internet modem and usb port

Hello,
Hi we just got a wireless modem, but had to get a usb port stick for other computer, however , the phone company configured the computer, but still not getting internet on the computer that has the usb port stick, please help>

I believe the 'USB port stick' you are referring to, is your wireless adapter. It's used to pick up a signal from a router. Did you get a router or just a modem? The modem doesn't put out a wireless signal.

Did your phone company (ISP - internet service provider) know that you were planning on setting up a wireless connection?
