I recently bought some new hardware for my PC only to find out that my current PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339019 was unable to handle them. This is the new video card and dvd drive that i purchased.

When i installed the dvd drive my computer would hard restart every so often and cause my bios to reset my overclock settings that were stable without the drive. I am no expert but i assume this is signs that my current PSU is either dying or can't handle the power. I uninstalled the dvd drive before testing the 5770.
After uninstalling my old 4670 and installing the 5770 vapor-x that also caused my computer to hard restart and reset my bios settings. I can't get the 5770 to boot. The lights and fans work but i get a black screen (yes the 6 pin was connected and the card is properly seated). Sometimes i can see the bios load but once i get to the windows 7 splash screen it just hangs. When i install the old 4670 again everything works just fine. I have done a bunch of research and possible issues are older mb's having compatibility issues with pci-e 2.1 video cards or the PSU is not good enough.
I have started the RMA process on the 5770 just in case that is faulty but i would first like to upgrade my PSU to see if that helps. I would basically just like to know if the following PSU and MB are compatible with each other, and if the PSU will power the 5770 vapor-x. This PSU is within my price range.

Sorry for all the links, i just want to make sure i do this right. Possibly someone out there has the same mb and video card as i do. I would really appreciate any insight, thanks.
