Download CPUz
then take screen shots showing your cpu/motherboard etc
or write it down and paste it
From google - The AMD Radeon HD 6950 requires a 500W or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCIe connectors.
Do you have a PSU that can do this?
Identification | Manufacturer | Falcon |
Model | FLC-600L |
Basic | Maximum power | 600 |
Protection | Over-power Short-circuit Under-voltage |
Connectors | 24-pin MB 4-pin Floppy 5-pin SATA 6-pin VGA 8-pin EPS |
It has 1 PCI express x16 slot as required for this gpuWhere did you install the GPU ? That motherboard is only having one half-length, full-height, PCI Express x16 SLOT. Though, on some other website, I found these specs:
1 (total) / 0 (free) x CPU
1 (total) / 1 (free) x PCIe 2.0 x16 - low-profile
1 (total) / 1 (free) x PCI - low-profile

I used thisIf your GPU requires more than a single 6pin, then you need a different PSU. Your current PSU only has support for single 6pin graphics.
So it cant be connected with pci-e power adapter.PCIe is not 2x4 pin, it never has been AFAIK.
You need what it says it needs.
Those mfs sold me that telling me that it can power the gpu with two 6pin. Thanks anyway.PCIe is not 2x4 pin, it never has been AFAIK.

This PSU is very low standard in comparison to todays.
Also according to the photos of that PSU, its rated at 288W @ 12v and 96W @ 3.3/5v = that doesn't add up to 600 watts.

How can I check if its updated to newest versionCould be an issue with the Molex adapter.
Could also be a BIOS issue. Have you done as I said and made sure it's updated to the latest version?
ThanksGo to the driver and support page for the PC you have and look at the version number, then go into the BIOS and look at the version number there and see if they match
