Since I announced its first incarnation here lo those many years ago,
I thought it would be appropriate to follow up now that it's done:

The HeroMachine Custom Character Portrait Creator 2.0 is finally
finished! More details are at http://www.heromachine.com but basically
all six bodies are done, all the features are in, and it's available
either just as a download or on CD too.

Apologies for this near-spam-advertising-type-post, but in a very real
sense this forum made me get serious about the project five years ago,
so I wanted to come full circle and kind of close it out here.

I picked this up shortly after final release, and it's *gorgeous*. There
are some limitations - it's far more useful for "silver age" style
heroes than more modern ones - but overall it's a lovely, lovely
package. I've already heard talk of expansions, which will hopefully add
a few more modern items to the mix. If you're at all artistically
handicapped (like me), HeroMachine is bloody invaluable.
