<<Insert mom-related sarcastic comment here>>

actually, nowhere special, just ~not here~. :) had/have better things
going on these days, so, as jimmery might have said, I "couldn't be
arsed".

Or maybe he had better things to do.

Danke :)

to slightly redirect the conversation, played any good cube games
lately? I've been playing my GBA more often than anything.

last game I got, at xmas, was paper mario...it was fun, actually,
pretty much what I expected, I finished it in 45 hours or so...nothing
spectacular but a good fun play nonetheless.

and then since I was done that game, I went out to buy the next game,
whatever it would be...and you know...

at first I considered RE4. I loved the GC RE, I've played every RE
that's come out except the copout RE3, the one taking place at the same
time as RE2...I don't remember why, but I remember thinking what a
ripoff it would be...but I couldn't bring myself to buy RE4. I have a
tendency to play half of it, get one ending and that's enough for me,
and it seemed a waste.

so I noticed Metroid Prime 2, and I grabbed it....but then I remembered
playing MP, and it being ~so~ very long, having to devote so much time
to it...I have kept trying to play it again but am always daunted by
the task of doing the whole thing again and always give up after my
first session, usually before Flaagra. I expected the same thing with
MP2, so I had to pass. (by comparison last night I watched Ronin and
got a craving for some Goldeneye action [maybe it was the appearance of
Sean Bean, maybe the gunplay] so I dusted off my N64 and played it
straight through without it wearing out)

finally I grabbed GTA: San Andreas as I've been craving that one for
quite some time...since before xmas...and I own GTA3 and Vice
City...though I loved Vice City, it's so daunting a game, and San
Andreas is even bigger.

so what did I do? I went home and grabbed my Pokemon Gold. when I
finished it I started Zelda:ALTTP for my GBA. if I can ever find it
I'll prolly grab River City Ransom for the GBA...and maybe Mario and
Luigi Superstar Saga.

I dunno if it's ADD or if I just don't have enough home time anymore,
but I just couldn't get behind any of the newer games enough to just
take it home...maybe I'm too old for gaming, finally :)

Paper Mario was the only Gamecube exclusive game in 2004 I enjoyed. I hated
Metroid Prime 2. It was just plain irritating to play. I may purchase RE4
when the price is cheap enough. I'm not really playing anything now except
for Neverwinter Nights on my laptop. I'm too busy traveling for work this
time of year to invest time in a game.

neither is Gene Poole. ;)

one of those "when's the other shoe gonna drop" times...I feel there's
some awful horrific price to be paid for all this good stuff.
