my motheroards ram type is ddr3 does that mean my gpu has to be gddr3 also? cuz the rtx 3050 has gddr5. i would appreciate any help you could give me!

No, the GPU does not have to be the same "DDR" as the motherboard RAM.

But...what are the rest of the specs of this system?
Especially, the PSU.
Make/model of everything, please.
heres my specs
msi h81m-e33 as my motherboard
8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz 🙁
gtx 1060 3gb -_- i got 3gb cuz it was cheap then like 1 month later i found 1 thats 2x better for cheaper price lol
thermaltake 430 watt smart series(like80 plus sliver or watever it is)
and a diy pc case blue and white
and i realized u said make and model lol its custom as u can tell by now lol.

ty man, yeah i settled on getting a rx 590 8gb or a 2060. thanks for the info tho man!
An even better choice than those would be an RX 6600. They're just $200 new these days and come bundled with a free copy of Starfield:
Powercolor RX 6600 Fighter 8GB GDDR6 (w/Starfield): $200
I don't know if you're interested in Starfield but it's supposed to be a masterpiece-level blockbuster like Skyrim, Witcher III and AC: Odyssey. It's going to be a very expensive game to buy and it's probably the best game that I've ever seen to be bundled with hardware.
