The 2070S is more than enough for 144Hz with AAA titles. You can buy a 2080 if you want too. What psu do you have?
I must agree if you game at 1080p or 2k resolution with AA methods and highest game settings then the 2070 Super is the way to go. Anything above that especially if your playing at 1080p will be a waste of money. WIth a 2070 Super you will get your 144fps to match your 144hz however you will have drops to 100fps in some games and when you do that is where freesync kicks in and you will not notice the frame drop and things will still be butter smooth with no stutter or lag. Good Luck 🙉👌

Got it - FreeSync at 48-144 with DP, 48-120 with HDMI. Since it has LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) you can actually get it to adapt down to 24fps if the need arises.

That all said, what are you going for, frame-rate wise? Are you looking to hit those max values of 144fps? Would you be happy with less, say, locking the framerate to a max of 100 or something?

In any case, I'd recommend the Navi cards, if you were to get something today. Here's the performance of the 5600 XT (the 5700 non-XT is also rated) at 1920x1080

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx_5600_xt/2

When they fully reviewed the 5700 and 5700 XT, they didn't show 1920x1080 results, but started right at 2560x1440, here:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx_5700-rx_5700_xt,6216-2.html

You can take those numbers and multiply them by 1.7 to get an approximate idea of what the frame rates would be at 1920x1080.

Bang for buck, especially on a FreeSync monitor, I cannot recommend Nvidia. Go with one of the AMD Navi cards, they greatly outdo Nvidia on performance per dollar. Sometimes, the 5700 is only slightly more than the 5600 XT.

I am getting around 100-120 on lowest settings
That is very good for a 980 series GPU. If you were to get a 2070 Super your frame rate would sky rocket and your CPU is fine especially if you can overclock her to at least 4.4Ghz then you have no reason for a CPU upgrade just a GPU upgarde is what you would need to match your monitors refresh rate and what not.

During Cod Warzone my cpu usage was 50% Where as gpu was 100%. Thats what triggered a thought to upgrade my gpu.

Thanks a lot Turtle Rig, I will definitely keep in touch with you all. Everyones advice helped me learn so much about what I need instead just wanting to splash money like an idiot. So, I was up all night trying to figure out a sweet Monitor and GPU combo but there aren’t many options. So decided to wait till I come across a good deal on a 27inch QHD monitor with 180hz or more with 1ms response rate and suitable GPU. Thanks guys 🙏🏻
