what is the best fx geforce 5950 card? is pny or gainward a good card to buy? please let me know. thanks

first off, there's no such thing as a good 5950. If you MUST go with nvidia for fanboy purposes get a bfg 5900nu and overclock it. If you want your moneys worth get an ati 9800 and overclock it to 9800xt levels. Nvidia doesn't score so well in dx9

And you certainly don't want to have two slots on the back of your case taken up by the 5950.

The Gainward doesn't use 2 slots like the other boards.

Anyone seen the price of those toys against 9800XT?

According to Pricewatch the FX5950 starts at $408 and the 9800XT for $431, plus any s&h and tax of course. I paid $428 for my FX5950 from Newegg, no tax, free shipping.
