Hibernation

after a while after installation of xinXP, hibernation option has disapiered from shut-down screen, instead of it there is stend-by icon, but it is grayed(so I can't use it). just to mention that I have used hibernation a few times before this problem appeared, so it is supported by my mainboard.
mainboard is ECS k7s5a
so, if anyone has any idea how to turn this option on, or where is the problem?

Have you looked in control panel under power options?

Take a gander there.

If you're using the fancy shut down screen, press shift and it should pop up in place of standby (provided hibernation is activated).

Sorry it too so long...I haven't been checking out the THG for awhile...

Did you disable any power saving options? If you did, you should set it back so they're enabled.

Then, if still nothing, back in Windows, go into Device Manager and select "Show hidden devices" in the view menu. A disabled device named "NT Apm/..." should show up. Enable it, and restart. Now see if you can use Hibernation.
