Question High CPU temperature while rendering on laptop ?

While rendering on my laptop the Ryzen 7 gets really hot, it runs at 97c in blender. What should i do to lower the temp? Will limiting power usage to 99% in power plan help or not ?

Make and model of your laptop? Ryzen 7 is a series, what specific processor did the laptop come equipped with? As for temps, what are your temps when idling?

Rendering is one app that can load all processing threads.
That is going to generate heat.
Unfortunately, laptop coolers need to be small and light, hence not so effective.
See that your cooling airways are clear, and that the fan is running.
Past that, not much can really be done.
Some will use a laptop cooling pad to give added airflow for cooling.
I would imagine that if you see 90c. ryzen will throttle.

It is certainly easy to try setting the max cpu to 99% and see if it helps.
