Question High CPU Temps?

5-6 months ago when I built this computer, the idle temps were around 31C-37C, and while gaming in Elden ring/Red Dead 2 it would go roughly around 50C-55C.

Obviously time has passed, and I've noticed my fans are louder than before, and the idle temps have increased and now bounce around from 38C-45C. At random times, when I'm not even using my computer and its just on, the CPU will spike up to 60C for 15ish seconds and then slowly drop back down to 45C every like 10 minutes or so. As for when I'm gaming it will spike to 65C-75C when just opening games like Red Dead, and kind of hovers around 53C-60C when actually playing the game. This is roughly the same for every game where it spikes really high and then settles in the 60s. It has never gone past 75C. It also goes up when downloading or watching youtube and I've only noticed it recently cause of how loud the fans get.

It also spikes to 65C when I turn on my computer from being shutdown but I assume its just a thing to do with startup processes?

Are these temps normal? Should I be concerned about the temps spiking randomly? Or is it as simple as my pc is a little dusty?

Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800x3D Raphael CPU
Lian LI ALC 360 Water cooler
Lian LI Lancool 2 Case

Sorry for yapping lol :)

Those are super excellent temps for that CPU that can push up to 90c without throttling. "Spiking" is due to CPU working more because program/game and/or some background process. Spiking at startup is also normal, there area lot of things happening during BOOT and until everything is loaded.

hey sorry i just saw this! thank you i appreciate it! I do have one more question though if its not a problem. I'm playing project zomboid right now and the cpu usage is only around 15-30% but the temps are saying 68 consistently. any thoughts?

Still fine but what temperature are you looking at ? Some programs like Ryzen Master show "Effective" temperature/frequency etc. as it's just a single core CPU. Some show just a hottest, most used core. Most games run on 1-4 cores so they would get highest temps and that doesn't mean whole CPU is that hot.
Critical temps are Tdie and Hot spot. Use HWinfo for best details but RM is most useful.
