Hi why is 1920x1080 considered HD when that resolution on a 60 inch is going to look poorer compared to that resolution on a 30" And 1650x1050 on a 22" will be better then a 30" at 1920x1080

i dont get how they can say some thing has FULL HD

because it will look better on that size screen with 2.1 million pixels(high definition) than 384,000 pixels(standard definition).

also one could argue that 1920x1080 is SD, 800x480 is LD, and 2560x1600 is HD.

oh and 1920x1080 is also higher than HD ready.(1280x720+)

1920 x 1080 is full HD but you didn't account for view distance.
Of course the 60" display will have about 108 DPI while the 30" will have 219 DPI and the 22" 1650 x 1080 will be 267 DPI but when you take into account the fact that you watch TV from a few feet away from the screen and a PC monitor from about a foot you realize it doesn't make sens to manufacture a TV with a pixel size that small (larger resolution or DPI) since you wouldn't notice the detail anyway from the distance your watching + the resolution of a frame from a TV channel wouldn't be higher then full HD anyway( usualy when they say they are transmitting at HD they are refering to 1280 x 720 not the full HD ).

Sorry for the long post, just trying to help 😛

I forgot to mention, you say something has full HD when it has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and you say it has HD when it has 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080 (usually the former)
